Le Tore Organic Farm

Founded in 1985, the LE TORE Farm occupies an area of about 14 hectares between Sorrento and Massa Lubrense. Food supplies come from three sources: the Le Tore farm located on the crest of the Sant’Agata sui due golfi hill, facing the Gulf of Salerno on one side and the Gulf of Naples on the other; Villa Murat, which is renowned for its historic olive groves and lemon pergolas facing Capri; the Conca Azzurra farm, in which century-old olive trees grow by the seaside, clinging to the walls of a huge and ancient calcareous cave and refreshed by a large oak forest nearby as well as a natural fresh water source.



We produce the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) Penisola Sorrentina Oil, the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) oval lemon of Sorrento and other typical products, such as the PGI Sorrento walnut, the annurca apple and, with regard to produce, the beef heart tomato and the cima di viola eggplant. Our summer seasonal produce, of high organoleptic and quality value, is directly sold to area restaurants.

In February 2004, the Le Tore PDO Penisola Sorrentina extra virgin olive oil won first prize, in the slightly fruity category, at the Sirena D’Oro di Sorrentonational contest dedicated to Italy’s PDO oils. In 2006, it numbered among the finalists of the Ercole Olivario national contest, which it eventually won in 2008, as the best competing label. It also won, in 2013, the Extrabio Award and received an honorable mention in the BIOL Award and the Sirena D’Oro di Sorrento Award.

As of 1994, our farm has joined the control and certification system for organic products and is currently certified by ICEA   .

It has served, for eight years, as an organic olive growing testing ground on behalf of the Agricultural Department of the Campania Regional Authority. It is enrolled in the Register of Learning Farms in the Campania Region.
